Nomad Coffee

Nomad Coffee started as a small coffee stall in London and has grown into one of the most famous specialty roasters in Spain. The founder is barista and Spanish barista competition champion Jordi Mestre, who brought his passion for coffee to Barcelona. Today, Nomad emphasizes a full trail from producer to cup, barista education and sustainable development.

Nomad Coffee was founded by Jordi Mestre after his experience in London coffee shops - he started as a "nomad" barista with a coffee cart in London in 2011. In 2014, he transferred his experience to Barcelona, where he opened his first brick-and-mortar location - Coffee Lab. Fran González is also part of the key management team, having joined the team during the company's early years, rising to Head of Coffee and becoming a partner. 

Nomad Coffee is building a profile not only as a roastery, but also as a training center for baristas and coffee professionals. It opened its first coffee shop in Barcelona in 2014, later a roastery in the Poblenou district, and became a certified B Corp in 2023 - a testament to its commitment to sustainability, responsible business and respect for communities. The company works to ensure that its coffee not only tastes great, but is the result of direct and fair relationships with producers, transparent processing and quality roasting.
