Indonesia Asman Arianto Honey

Asman Arianto spent over twenty years working as a laborer on coffee farms—he did everything from picking cherries to exporting the beans. The experience he gained led him to found the Ribang Gayo Musara cooperative, which today brings together more than 300 farmers. Asman places extraordinary emphasis on sorting and blending the beans, which removes unwanted flavors of spices or tobacco from the coffee. One of the distinctive features of this coffee is the Abyssinia variety—a coffee plant that was once brought to Asia from Ethiopia.

Thanks to its origin and the local conditions there, it brings bergamot notes and African acidity. The honey processing then adds a pronounced sweetness and fruitiness to the cup, with notes of cranberries, blueberries, and bergamot.
