Miche Coffee is an intimate roastery with a big heart, located in the picturesque Cap Ferret in the south-west of France. Their approach is defined by humility, a deep sense of neighbourhood community and an uncompromising focus on environmental responsibility and transparency throughout the supply chain.
The roastery was born from the "simple beginnings and big dreams" of the founders, who decided to build a space for the production of fine coffee right behind the old ship warehouse. Their goal from the beginning was to roast coffee for their neighbors and friends with the utmost respect for the people who grow the coffee and the planet. This commitment is confirmed by their actions - as members of 1% for the Planet, they donate one percent of their sales to the environment and use only 100% recycled paper boxes for packaging.
On a technical level, Miche Coffee relies on the precision of a top-of-the-range Giesen roaster, which they have also fitted with special filters to reduce particulate emissions by 90%. They work exclusively with importers who guarantee fair prices for the farmers, allowing them to offer beans that carry the story of sustainability and the specific character of the Atlantic coast. Miche Coffee thus proves that even a small roastery on the edge of Europe can have a positive impact globally and offer world-class coffee.

This coffee comes from the famous Yirgacheffe region, specifically from the Haru processing station, which was one of the first to bring the quality of Ethiopian coffee to the world stage. The station is located at a high altitude of around 2,000 metres, which gives the beans complexity and sparkly acidity. Thanks to the close collaboration between Komilacha, the owner of the station, and exporters Tracon and DR Wakefield, which has lasted for more than a decade, not only is the quality guaranteed to be top quality, but also the origin of each bean is transparent. In the cup, CaféNuméroCinq will enchant you with its light body reminiscent of tea and the medium fruity acidity that is typical of Ethiopian coffees from this region. It is dominated by delicate notes of dried apricots and bergamot, which smoothly transition into a long-lasting and clean floral aftertaste with a hint of jasmine.
