Gatina Washing Station has been a fixture in Nyeri County since 1968. The Mugaga cooperative brings together 790 farmers—almost a third of whom are women—and all of them supply only ripe cherries, which then undergo careful washed processing. The result? A clean, elegant flavor that lets you hear the true Kenyan school. No compromises, just precision work from harvesting to drying. Andy Roasters from Antwerp selected these beans for their Fruity Washed series, which focuses on delicate, almost tea-like profiles with bright acidity.

Two friends, Kjell and Dave, started with their own coffees, then founded a roastery, and today they are among the most interesting players on the Belgian specialty coffee scene. The roast is light, the SL 28 and SL 34 varieties retain their classic Kenyan character, and Gatina simply fits.
